Publication Ethics

Jurnal Ilmiah Kajian Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles of transparency, integrity, and academic responsibility. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, are expected to adhere to ethical standards in accordance with best practices in scholarly publishing.

Duties of Authors

  1. Reporting Standards

    Authors should present an accurate account of the research conducted and provide an objective discussion of its significance. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to enable others to verify or replicate the study.

  2. Originality and Plagiarism

    Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of the work, ideas, or words of others must be appropriately cited and referenced. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.

  3. Data Access and Retention

    Authors may be requested to provide the research data supporting their findings for editorial review. Authors should retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.

  4. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

    Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Manuscripts that substantially overlap with previously published work are not acceptable.

  5. Acknowledgement of Sources

    Authors must properly acknowledge the contributions of others and cite all relevant sources that have influenced the reported research.

  6. Authorship of the Manuscript

    Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, implementation, analysis, or interpretation of the study. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

    Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of their research findings.

  8. Correction of Errors

    When authors discover significant errors in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the publication.

  9. Research Involving Human Participants

    Research involving human participants should comply with ethical standards, including informed consent, privacy protection, confidentiality, and respect for participants' rights and dignity.
