Author Guidelines
Jurnal Ilmiah Kajian Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya welcomes original manuscripts in the fields of social sciences and cultural studies. Manuscripts submitted to this journal must not have been published previously and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS).
- The manuscript length should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references and appendices.
- The manuscript should be typed on A4 paper using Times New Roman 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing and 2 cm margins on all sides.
- The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the study. The title must be provided in both Indonesian and English.
- Authors must provide complete information, including full name, institutional affiliation, email address, and corresponding author details.
- The manuscript must include:
- Title
- Author Information
- Abstract (Indonesian, 150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–5 keywords)
- Abstract (English, 150–250 words)
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Research Method
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (optional)
- References
- Abstracts should clearly state the background, objective, method, main findings, and conclusions of the study. References and citations should not be included in the abstract.
- Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively. Table titles should be placed above the table, while figure captions should be placed below the figure. Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
- Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references. A minimum of 20 references is required, with the majority derived from peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last ten years.
- The similarity index of the manuscript must not exceed 20%, as verified through plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
- Research involving human participants should comply with applicable ethical standards and include ethical clearance where required.
- The editorial board reserves the right to make editorial changes without altering the substance of the manuscript.
Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's OJS platform. Authors are required to submit an originality statement confirming that the manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.
