About the Journal

Jurnal Ilmiah Kajian Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published online by LPPM Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. First published in 2026, the journal is issued quarterly, with four issues published annually. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, and critical studies in the fields of social sciences and cultural studies. Its scope encompasses interdisciplinary studies in social sciences and cultural studies, including community development, governance, media and communication, socio-legal studies, gender and social inclusion, environmental and cultural issues, anthropology, cultural heritage, and other contemporary social and cultural issues.
