Journal History

Jurnal Ilmiah Kajian Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya was established by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai as a scholarly journal dedicated to the dissemination of research findings and academic discussions in the fields of social sciences and cultural studies.

The inaugural issue of the journal, Volume 1 Number 1, was published in 2026, with Ms. Wida Rianti serving as the Editor-in-Chief. Since its establishment, the journal has served as a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to publish high-quality scholarly works addressing contemporary social and cultural issues.

Jurnal Ilmiah Kajian Ilmu Sosial dan Budaya is published quarterly and applies a peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic contribution of all published manuscripts.

The journal continues to improve its editorial management, publication quality, and indexing coverage in order to enhance its visibility and contribution to the advancement of social and cultural studies.
