Cultural Studies
Cultural Studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines the ways in which culture shapes and is shaped by social, political, economic, and historical processes. It explores the production, representation, interpretation, and consumption of cultural practices, meanings, values, and identities within diverse social contexts. This area of study investigates how cultural expressions—including traditions, language, media, art, popular culture, and everyday practices—reflect and influence power relations, social norms, and collective identities. Cultural Studies also addresses issues such as globalization, cultural transformation, identity formation, representation, diversity, and cultural resistance. Through critical and analytical approaches, the field seeks to deepen understanding of the dynamic relationship between culture and society and its role in shaping contemporary social life.
